Someone asked me what my superhero power was and I said curiosity.
I am a huge fan of questions, and finding the exact right one to ask is my favourite thing to seek out.
I turned to curiosity when I was trying to face more of my fears.
Some of my fears make sense, being lost, lots of new people, new faces, being left behind, speaking up and most important...birds.
Fear is defined as "an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat."
Curiosity is defined as the desire to know. So I started asking my fear some serious questions!
Where did you come from?
Why are you here?
Is there an actual threat close by or does it just seem that way?
By seeking curiosity I found understanding in my fears. And that is what I hope to do with and for you this month.
Do you find yourself ignoring your fears or facing them head-on? Or maybe you know exactly what you're scared of, but don't know how to challenge it without being paralyzed by so.much.fear.
Leave your questions below and I will answer them on future episodes of Big Kid Pod, or on the blog
<3 stay warm out there!
